Eco Solutions is a part of a suite of products brought together to increase your energy usage from a variety of renewable energy sources. Being energy aware and energy clean is very important to us at Irishpower.ie, and it is for this reason that we like to supply our systems with photovoltaic panels and/or a wind turbine. Nothing pleases us more than to see low hours on a gas fired generator when we carry out the annual service to one of our energy modules.
And being environmentally friendly doesn’t just mean that we simply use solar panels or wind turbines, and leave it at that. Battery systems are cumbersome and can be notoriously wasteful of much of the earth’s natural resources, they have a finite life, and are costly to replace. We have invested in the latest super capacitor technology, and combine this with our energy storage capability in a way which increases battery life, and which provides a much more stable level of voltage.
We use the latest ICU technology to manage all of the energy requirements you may have, with all systems being fully automatic. If for example your electricity storage system needs to be topped up, and your preferred method of doing this is via solar panels (except the sun is not shining), then the ICU will call on the external hybrid module only until such time as it can restore a satisfactory energy storage level for the ICU, at which point it will de-energise the gas fired unit.
Another valid Eco Solution for any home, is to use the Irish Power ICU to connect your home to the grid supply at times only of your choosing, while at all other times relying solely on the power of the wind and/or the sun for example.
